Sales and Marketing Officer

About the role

Mabungo Solutions is hiring a Sales and Marketing Officer based in Nairobi's Westlands. The role covers prospecting and closing business clients for the company's service offerings, including onboarding them to an online clearance platform and selling digital marketing packages tailored to SMEs. The position is full-time and entry-level, with a stated salary of KES 15,000 to 30,000 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, pitch and secure business clients within Nairobi City for the company's service offerings.
• Onboard business clients onto the online clearance platform so they can list their discounted inventory.
• Sell digital marketing packages tailored to the needs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
• Manage end-to-end sales cycles, from cold outreach through deal closure and client onboarding.
• Work independently with minimal supervision to meet strict monthly sales targets.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of direct sales or business development experience, preferably selling digital services, SaaS, advertising or marketplace listings to B2B clients and SMEs.
• Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum KCSE grade of B+ (or equivalent).
• Exceptional verbal and written command of both English and Swahili; able to pitch complex digital products simply, handle objections and close deals with business owners and managers.
• Strong time management, able to manage a daily field route across Nairobi, run sales meetings and hit monthly targets with little supervision.
• In-depth knowledge of Nairobi's commercial hubs (CBD, Westlands, Eastleigh, Industrial Area, Kilimani) and local retail and trading dynamics.
• Energetic and results-oriented, motivated by performance incentives and committed to meeting or exceeding monthly onboarding and subscription goals.
