Sales Engineer – Solar & Lift Solutions

About the role

The Sales Engineer will drive growth in the solar energy and lift installation markets, combining technical know‑how with sales expertise. Reporting to the Regional Sales Executive, you will identify customer needs, propose tailored solutions, and close deals across Kenya and the Somalina region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in solar and lift projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, consultants, and contractors.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis and create strategic sales plans.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms to secure sales.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement and project teams to design customized solutions.
• Perform site visits and feasibility studies to assess project requirements.
• Provide after‑sales technical support and maintain accurate CRM records.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts and presentations for the Regional Sales Executive.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong technical background in solar energy systems and lift installations.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
