Sales Representative (Detergents)

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Sales Representative for detergents and cleaning products in the FMCG sector. The role covers sales, business development and customer relationship management across the Nairobi, Nakuru and Eldoret area.

Key responsibilities

• Sell and distribute detergents and cleaning products to retailers, wholesalers, supermarkets and other target customers, and develop new business opportunities.
• Achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales targets and promote products while negotiating orders.
• Build relationships with existing and prospective customers, visit them regularly, follow up on orders, deliveries and payments, and handle complaints.
• Identify new markets and channels, run merchandising, product demonstrations and in-store promotions, and monitor competitors.
• Prepare sales reports, customer visit reports and market feedback, track performance against targets, and keep accurate customer records.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 2 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry.
• Experience selling detergents, cleaning products or household goods is an added advantage.
• Proven ability to meet sales targets and acquire new customers.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Required skills

• Strong negotiation, communication and customer relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good reporting, planning and organisational skills.
