Senior Director of Security Operations

About the role

Super is seeking a Senior Director of Security Operations to shape and own the global defence strategy across all business units, countries and platforms. Reporting to the CISO, you will turn an existing strong security foundation into a strategic capability that protects the company from financially‑motivated attacks.

Key responsibilities

• Define and champion the organisation’s defensive controls strategy (WAF, EDR, endpoint security, network segmentation, cloud‑native controls) and secure leadership investment.
• Establish a company‑wide “full visibility” standard across cloud, Kubernetes, endpoints and SaaS, proactively identifying blind spots.
• Own the detection engineering, threat hunting and incident response operating model, setting response speed and severity handling benchmarks.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team covering incident response, threat hunting and detection engineering, and set security standards across the enterprise.
• Represent security operations posture to executive leadership and the board, driving resourcing and tooling decisions.

Required profile

• 10+ years in security operations, incident response, threat hunting or detection engineering.
• Proven experience setting strategy at director or senior‑director level for multi‑country, multi‑business‑unit organisations.
• Track record of building business cases for security investment and influencing senior leadership.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with EDR solutions such as CrowdStrike or SentinelOne.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms.
• Experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
• Strong knowledge of cloud‑native security, especially AWS security services.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes security concepts.
