Senior HoReCa Business Development Executive - Premium Foodservice

About the role

A leading premium foodservice supplier is looking for a Senior HoReCa Business Development Executive in Nairobi to drive revenue growth across Kenya's hospitality sector. It is a hunter-farmer role for a commercially driven professional who wins new hotel and restaurant accounts and grows relationships with executive chefs, F&B managers and procurement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build and convert a strong pipeline of HoReCa accounts across Nairobi and open new business with hotels, restaurants, QSRs, caterers and institutions.
• Conduct chef visits, product trials and demonstrations.
• Manage key accounts from order placement through delivery and resolve service issues quickly.
• Meet monthly revenue, volume and gross margin targets while protecting pricing and keeping accounts receivable healthy.
• Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing and opportunities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of HoReCa/Foodservice sales experience in Kenya.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Food Science or a related field.
• Experience selling meat, poultry, seafood or chilled/frozen products.
• Proven success protecting margins while managing customer credit and collections.
• Preferred: relationships with major hotel groups, airline/institutional or hospital catering experience, HACCP certification, and Halal supply chain experience.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of cold chain handling, FIFO and food safety.
• Ability to discuss meat cuts, yields, portion sizes and specifications with executive chefs.
• Experience managing complex chef orders and custom specifications.
