About the role

The Senior Lecturer in the Department of Education will lead advanced teaching, curriculum development and scholarly research at Daystar University. The role combines classroom instruction with mentorship and contributes to the university’s Christian ethos.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching and training in accordance with university policies.
• Conduct and publish research that enhances the university’s academic reputation.
• Assess students through continuous assessments and examinations.
• Participate in curriculum and programme review and development.
• Mobilise resources and build partnerships with industry.
• Mentor students academically and spiritually.
• Implement best practices and change initiatives to support strategic goals.

Required profile

• Christian commitment and practice.
• Earned PhD in Education or a related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum three years of university teaching experience as a senior lecturer or senior researcher.
• At least 32 publications, with 24 in refereed journals.
• Evidence of participation in conferences, seminars or workshops.
• Active involvement or leadership in departmental or university activities.
• Registration with the relevant professional body.
