Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Simple Life is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join its Platform team. You will own the AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes platform, and internal tooling that power the company’s health‑coaching app.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and evolve production systems on AWS and EKS, including VPC, IAM, RDS, Karpenter and Fargate.
• Define and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terramate, with Atlantis handling plan and apply on PRs.
• Manage GitOps delivery pipelines (ArgoCD, Atlantis, Flux‑style workflows) and CI/CD setups.
• Build and maintain observability stack (Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Prometheus) and ensure reliable metrics and logging.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, incident response, and root‑cause analysis.
• Automate repetitive tasks by developing internal tools and services, primarily in Go.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving instincts, able to work through ambiguous production incidents.
• Quick learner who can adopt new technologies and take ownership of new initiatives.
• Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to drive design discussions across teams.

Required skills

• Several years of hands‑on experience operating production workloads on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Solid knowledge of AWS fundamentals (VPC, IAM, EKS, RDS).
• Practical experience with Terraform, Terramate and GitOps‑style workflows (ArgoCD, Atlantis, Flux).
• Comfortable writing code; prior experience in Go or willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Loki, Tempo and Prometheus.
