Showroom Sales Executive

About the role

Career Directions Limited is recruiting, on behalf of a leading supplier of premium plumbing systems, sanitaryware, architectural hardware and building solutions, a Showroom Sales Executive for its Nairobi showrooms. The company serves developers, contractors, architects, interior designers and homeowners, and the role combines customer service, sales and relationship building.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, give professional product demonstrations and recommendations, and understand their needs to suggest suitable plumbing, sanitaryware, bathroom and architectural hardware solutions.
• Prepare quotations, process sales orders and follow up on customer inquiries.
• Build and maintain relationships with walk-in customers, contractors, architects and interior designers.
• Achieve individual sales targets while delivering excellent customer service.
• Keep the showroom well merchandised, organized and visually appealing.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for timely order fulfillment.
• Maintain accurate customer records and prepare daily and weekly sales reports.
• Stay up to date on product features, pricing and market trends.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Interior Design, Construction or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in showroom sales, retail sales or customer-facing sales in building materials, sanitaryware, tiles, plumbing, hardware, home improvement or interiors.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-service orientation.
• Self-motivated, well-presented and target-driven.
• Preferred: experience selling sanitaryware, bathroom fittings, plumbing systems, architectural hardware, tiles, building materials, home improvement or interior finishing products.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• ERP or POS system experience is an added advantage.
