Waitress - 5 Star Hotel Restaurant

About the role

The Partnership Agency is recruiting a professional, customer-focused and energetic Waitress for a 5-star hotel restaurant in Nairobi. The role centres on delivering excellent customer service so guests enjoy a pleasant dining experience, while keeping the restaurant clean and professional.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and seat guests warmly and courteously
• Present menus and explain menu items, beverages and daily specials
• Take accurate food and drink orders and pass them quickly to the kitchen and bar team
• Serve food and drinks professionally and efficiently
• Check on guests during meals and address concerns promptly
• Prepare and present bills, process payments and issue receipts accurately
• Keep dining areas, tables and service stations clean and organised, and set tables before and after service
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health standards
• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues when needed
• Support colleagues during busy periods and take part in opening and closing duties

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a waitress/server in a hospitality setting
• Experience working in a 5-star hotel is mandatory
• Certificate or diploma in hospitality, food and beverage service or a related field is an added advantage
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
