About the role
Bridge Talent Management is seeking a qualified Accountant to join its finance team within the automotive industry in Nairobi. The role is full‑time and focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the company’s financial health.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare timely financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, post journal entries, and perform regular bank, AP, and AR reconciliations.
- Prepare and file tax returns, manage VAT, PAYE, and other statutory obligations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring prompt invoice payments and collections.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, cost‑saving opportunities, and provide insights to management.
- Implement and monitor internal control systems to safeguard assets.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification – CPA or ACCA is required.
- 4‑5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
Required skills
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
