About the role
The Branch Manager will lead the SME Biashara Loans unit, overseeing loan appraisal, disbursement, collections and portfolio management. This on‑site position reports to senior management and is responsible for maintaining a high‑quality loan book while ensuring compliance with customer due‑diligence standards.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough loan appraisal and approve disbursements for SME clients.
- Manage collections and monitor portfolio performance to keep the Portfolio at Risk (PAR) low.
- Lead and develop a team of at least seven staff members, providing coaching and performance oversight.
- Ensure all loan processes comply with regulatory and internal due‑diligence requirements.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years experience in SME business loans or related lending operations.
- Proven ability to manage a team of seven or more staff.
- Strong reporting and analytical capabilities, with computer literacy.
- Deep understanding of SME loan processes, customer due‑diligence and loan recovery.
