About the role
The Associate Cash Officer will support the Embakasi branch in maintaining optimal cash levels and ensuring the safe handling of cash and related stationery. You will work closely with the central cash department and the branch team to guarantee smooth cash operations throughout the day.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain optimal cash levels in coordination with the Central Cash Department.
- Safeguard cash and serialized stationery, acting as custodian of vault keys.
- Perform end‑of‑day cash reconciliation through physical counts.
- Monitor intra‑day cash limits for tellers and manage vault cash limits.
- Load ATMs, retrieve cash and cheque deposits, and address cash‑related queries.
- Oversee queue management and monitor banking hall activities via CCTV.
- Verify teller entries and supervise daily call‑back, archiving, and cash monitoring processes.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Banking, or a related field.
- At least one year of relevant experience in a similar cash‑handling role within a comparable organization.
Required skills
- Experience with cash reconciliation and vault management.
- Familiarity with ATM loading procedures.
- Ability to monitor and operate CCTV systems.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to cash‑handling policies.
