Driver & Office Support for REPLAN Project in Isiolo & Laikipia

About the role

IUCN is recruiting two local professionals – one for Isiolo County and one for Laikipia County – to provide combined driver and office support for the REPLAN project. The role blends field logistics with basic administrative duties, ensuring smooth operations for community‑based biodiversity and resilience activities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a designated vehicle, transporting staff, equipment and project materials safely across remote field sites.
• Perform routine vehicle checks, refueling, minor maintenance and record keeping of mileage and fuel consumption.
• Provide office support including filing, data entry, handling correspondence and assisting with project documentation.
• Support field teams by preparing logistics plans, coordinating travel itineraries and ensuring timely delivery of supplies.
• Assist in community outreach events, helping set up meetings and transport participants as needed.

Required profile

• Kenyan national residing in Isiolo or Laikipia County.
• Valid Kenyan driver’s licence (category appropriate for project vehicle).
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills with experience in simple office tasks.
• Familiarity with local road networks and ability to navigate challenging terrain.
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
