Head of Commercial – Renewable Energy

About the role

The Head of Commercial will lead the commercial function for Brites Management Services Limited’s renewable energy business in Kenya. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion and profitability across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall commercial strategy aligned with corporate and global objectives.
• Own country‑level revenue targets, sales volumes and commercial KPIs, ensuring strong customer repayment performance.
• Develop and manage commercial budgets, forecasts and resource allocation to maximise ROI.
• Design and implement a best‑in‑class commercial operating model, including organisational structure, sales processes, tools and performance management systems.
• Lead market research, competitive analysis and all marketing initiatives to strengthen brand positioning and customer acquisition.
• Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities, partnerships and geographic expansion.
• Oversee field sales operations and drive continuous improvement in sales productivity and efficiency.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 12 years of experience in commercial leadership, preferably within renewable energy or related sectors.
• Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and managing large commercial teams.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis.
