About the role
The World Agroforestry Centre (CIFOR) is seeking a consultant with expertise in human demography and epidemiology to support its research and program activities in Kenya. The role will involve applying demographic and health insights to agroforestry initiatives and collaborating with a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on demographic and epidemiological aspects of CIFOR projects.
- Assist in designing, collecting, and interpreting population health and dynamics data.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate findings into CIFOR’s knowledge products and policy recommendations.
Required profile
- Relevant university degree in demography, epidemiology, public health, or a related field.
- Fluent spoken and written English; additional international language(s) an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience working in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams, preferably within a non‑profit organization.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to information sharing and continuous improvement.
