Internal Auditor – FMCG (Food)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Internal Auditor to join a leading FMCG company in Nairobi. The role will involve planning and executing audits, identifying risks, and recommending improvements to strengthen governance and protect assets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct internal audits across the organisation, highlighting control weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
• Identify operational and business risks and ensure compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with management to develop risk‑mitigation strategies and action plans.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings, recommendations and management responses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualification – CPA/CA and ICPAK membership.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, at least 3 years within an FMCG environment.
• Experience leading audit teams and working with ERP systems.

Required skills

• ERP systems and system audit knowledge.
• Internal audit methodologies, standards and CAATs.
• Strong understanding of accounting practices, risk management and governance.
