Regional Private Sector Partnerships Specialist

About the role

The Regional Private Sector Partnerships Specialist will support IOM’s Private Sector Partnerships Division in Nairobi, driving the development and implementation of strategic partnerships with private‑sector actors across the region. The role contributes to IOM’s mission of promoting humane and orderly migration by leveraging private‑sector expertise, resources and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, engage and cultivate relationships with private‑sector partners that align with IOM’s strategic priorities.
• Lead outreach and communication initiatives to promote private‑sector involvement in migration solutions.
• Provide technical assistance and expertise to IOM Headquarters, regional and country offices on partnership development and management.
• Support the design, negotiation and monitoring of partnership agreements and joint projects.
• Contribute to the development of the division’s work plan, reporting and knowledge‑sharing activities.

Required profile

• Relevant professional experience in partnership development, business development or related fields, preferably within an international or migration context.
• Strong understanding of private‑sector dynamics and ability to translate business interests into migration‑focused outcomes.
• Excellent communication and networking skills, with a proven ability to work in multicultural environments.
• Fluency in English; residence in Nairobi or willingness to relocate.
