Regional Relationship Manager – Biashara Banking (North‑Eastern Region)

About the role

The Regional Relationship Manager for Biashara Banking will oversee the North‑Eastern region, ensuring loan quality, compliance, and business growth across branch networks. You will act as the primary liaison between the bank, borrowers, and internal stakeholders to drive sustainable performance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily loan origination at branch level, identify and address malpractices.
• Review sampled disbursed loans and verify decision quality.
• Engage with staff on arrears management and enforce service level agreements.
• Provide mentorship, coaching and refresher training to branch credit committees.
• Lead regional business development, partnership management and marketing initiatives.
• Conduct performance reviews, talent identification and staff deployment planning.
• Maintain compliance with bank policies, procedures and core values.
• Report progress to the Segment Head – Biashara Banking and support strategic implementation.

Required profile

• Business‑related university degree.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in banking or financial services.
• Proven track record in loan monitoring, credit risk management and relationship management.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to train, mentor and lead teams across multiple branches.
