Sales Associate – Retail Wine Specialist

About the role

Join The Wine Shop team to help customers celebrate every occasion with the perfect wine. As a Sales Associate you will provide friendly, knowledgeable service in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver superior customer service and ensure total satisfaction.
• Assist shoppers with product selection, share wine knowledge and answer questions.
• Handle cash transactions, operate the POS system and balance the till.
• Support merchandising, receive shipments and keep shelves tidy.
• Follow health, safety and security procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of customer‑service experience.
• Smart Serve Certification.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lb regularly.
• Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Experience with computer‑based Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Smart Serve certification.
