Senior Credit Analyst – AVP (French Speaking)

About the role

Underwriting Senior Credit Analyst is an integral part of Citi’s Institutional Credit Management organization, delivering best‑in‑class credit risk analysis, monitoring and credit administration. The role partners with Corporate Banking and Risk to ensure the safety and soundness of wholesale lending.

Key responsibilities

• Assess credit and financial strength of large corporate, public sector and financial institution clients using quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Prepare credit analysis write‑ups, assign internal credit risk ratings and produce initial, transaction, annual and quarterly reviews.
• Continuously monitor the portfolio, track industry trends, and escalate potential credit issues to underwriters, risk and banking partners.
• Collaborate with regional and industry stakeholders to implement credit assessment and monitoring standards.
• Support ad‑hoc portfolio and industry reviews, stress testing and other duties as required.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of credit experience in banking, credit risk management or equivalent.
• Strong proficiency in English and French, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated analytical ability to evaluate liquidity, leverage, cash flow and complex corporate structures.
• Experience analysing both corporate and financial institution risk is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree; MBA or related advanced degree is an advantage.
