Senior Relationship Officer – Bancassurance

About the role

The Senior Relationship Officer – Bancassurance reports to the Branch Manager and is responsible for acquiring and growing the bank’s bancassurance portfolio across retail life, pensions and non‑life products. The role involves profiling customers, identifying insurance needs, and delivering appropriate solutions in line with the bank’s strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business growth for all insurance product lines, achieving portfolio and revenue targets across the cluster branches.
• Train and support branch staff on insurance products, onboarding documentation and claims processes to increase product consumption.
• Prepare accurate weekly and monthly production reports and ensure smooth document flow between clients and insurers.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, influencers and insurers, gathering market intelligence to identify new opportunities.
• Mentor the Bancassurance branch champion and coordinate customer experience initiatives to achieve CSAT, CES, and NPS targets.
• Ensure compliance with AML/CFT policies, sanctions lists and internal risk controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance or Business.
• 2‑3 years of experience in insurance sales management or bancassurance, including at least one year of direct sales.
• Professional certification such as a Diploma in Insurance, Certificate of Proficiency (COP), BCom Insurance, or BSc Actuarial Science.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Proficiency in MS Word.
• Ability to create presentations using PowerPoint.
