Account Manager SMB

About the role

As an Account Manager SMB you will combine commercial expertise with data analysis to drive growth for local merchants and expand quick‑commerce in Kenya. You will be the main point of contact for a portfolio of small‑to‑medium businesses, ensuring their operational health and revenue generation.

Key responsibilities

• Make ~40 focused outreach calls daily to engage SMB partners, pitch growth initiatives and resolve operational blockers.
• Own order volume, GMV and AOV for your portfolio, identifying expansion levers such as co‑funded marketing, Glovo Ads and store radius extensions.
• Conduct regular business reviews using Looker, Excel and Salesforce, translating metrics into actionable growth plans.
• Spend 1–2 days per week in the field meeting merchants to build trust, audit operations and unlock opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Analytics or related field.
• 3+ years of account management, commercial sales or business development experience in tech, e‑commerce or FMCG.
• Proven ability to execute high‑volume outreach consistently.

Required skills

• Intermediate‑to‑advanced Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, data modelling).
• Hands‑on experience with Salesforce CRM.
• Proficiency with BI tools such as Looker or Tableau.
