Building Products Sales Representative

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Architectural Specification Representative to drive product awareness and secure specifications for our building‑products portfolio across the Midwest, Mid‑Atlantic, and Pennsylvania/Maryland territories. The role focuses on influencing design and specification phases of commercial construction projects, promoting brands such as Stylecraft, Chase, Eliason, and HMF Express.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, engineers, specifiers, and internal sales teams within assigned territories.
• Promote and create demand for our product lines, ensuring they are included in project specifications.
• Manage product substitution requests and coordinate approval processes with territory managers and distributors.
• Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to support product development and strategic initiatives.
• Stay current on industry trends, design standards, and construction documentation.
• Travel up to 60% of the time to meet clients and attend industry events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in specification sales, architectural sales, or technical sales within the building materials industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of the specification process and the Architecture & Design community.
• Familiarity with architectural drawings and construction documents.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building relationships and driving results.
