Business Development Manager – East Africa (Remote)

About the role

RateHawk, a leading travel‑tech brand within Emerging Travel Group, is looking for a Business Development Manager to expand its B2B footprint across East Africa. This remote position is open to candidates based in Kenya and focuses on building partnerships with tour operators, travel agencies, TMCs and OTAs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales activities to meet growth targets in the assigned territory.
• Identify, onboard and train new partners on RateHawk’s platform.
• Maintain long‑term relationships with existing partners, providing first‑level support and ongoing system training.
• Negotiate and manage commercial agreements, ensuring compliance with payment and documentation requirements.
• Travel up to 50% of the time for client meetings, industry events and business trips.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activity, delivering regular reports via CRM and internal tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of full‑cycle sales experience in the travel industry, focusing on B2B business development and account management.
• Deep knowledge of the East African travel market and its B2B networks.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with data‑driven decision making.
• Proactive, results‑oriented and comfortable in a fast‑changing tech environment.

Required skills

• API integration experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with CRM systems.
