Head of Q-Commerce (Kenya)

About the role

Glovo is looking for a dynamic leader to head its Q‑Commerce business in Kenya. You will shape strategy, grow the dark‑store network and build strong partnerships with retailers to deliver a fast, on‑demand marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Q‑Commerce P&L across groceries, retail and dark‑store units.
• Define medium‑ and long‑term growth and profitability strategies for Kenya.
• Build and maintain relationships with top retail and grocery partners.
• Lead the commercial team to onboard new partners and drive partner growth.
• Negotiate sustainable contracts and ensure mutually beneficial economics.
• Expand the dark‑store network in a scalable, sustainable way.
• Improve operational efficiency for partners and dark‑stores to guarantee top‑class service.
• Gather partner feedback and translate it into product, marketing and operations improvements.

Required profile

• 6+ years in fast‑paced environments such as FMCG, retail, startups, consulting or internet firms.
• Proven experience owning a full P&L.
• Track record of working with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and deadline orientation.
• Ability to hire, manage and retain high‑performing teams.
• Deep understanding of retail business dynamics and revenue drivers.
• Strong negotiation skills with large retail players.
• Data‑driven decision making and business judgement.
• Talent for solving complex, multidisciplinary problems.
