Head of Sales & Commercial Operations – Mobility

About the role

The Head of Sales & Commercial Operations – Mobility will steer the commercial engine of Mogo Kenya’s vehicle financing business, covering both boda‑boda motorbike loans and car logbook financing. Reporting to senior leadership, the role is accountable for sales performance, network expansion and operational excellence across a national footprint of more than 90 branches.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the sales strategy for motorbike and car financing products.
• Lead, motivate and develop a geographically dispersed sales force, setting targets and performance standards.
• Drive volume, conversion rates and portfolio growth while safeguarding asset quality and underwriting discipline.
• Build and manage partnerships with dealers, agents and ecosystem partners to broaden origination channels.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and IT teams to enhance automated sales and operational processes within the proprietary ERP system.
• Identify and roll out new branch locations, scaling the network to capture untapped markets.
• Monitor commercial KPIs, prepare regular performance reports and adjust tactics to meet profitability goals.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 6 years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in financial services or mobility sectors.
• Diploma or higher qualification is mandatory.
• Proven track record of managing large, multi‑site sales organisations and delivering measurable growth.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive data‑based decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
