ICT Senior Analyst - Business Intelligence

About the role

UNOPS is looking for an ICT Senior Analyst (Business Intelligence) in Nairobi to support the development, deployment and management of mission support management's data collection and analytics-based reporting solutions. The role provides actionable intelligence to mission senior management and to unit and section chiefs, and develops new dashboards and applications to digitize mission business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business scope, gather requirements, document them, carry out preliminary system analysis, data cleansing and enrichment, migration and change management.
• Build ETL procedures to extract, transform and load data from enterprise systems to refresh Business Intelligence products on schedule.
• Develop and test Business Intelligence reports and dashboards, and build new Power BI applications.
• Review UNSOS Business Intelligence datasets for quality, completeness and accuracy, and monitor dashboards to resolve issues promptly.
• Improve internal data collection and monitoring processes and help set data management, lifecycle and quality standards.
• Take part in organizing, preparing and delivering certified and focused business intelligence training workshops for ATMIS, FGS and FSS.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (first-level university) in Applied Mathematics, Electronics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering or a related field with 4 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Relevant experience in ICT, Electronics, Information Systems or related areas.
• At least 2 years of experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau, building data reports and performing data analysis.
• Desired: supply chain or related experience.

Required skills

• Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps experience.
• Desired: professional certifications in Microsoft Power BI, SAP and Microsoft Azure.
• Desired: experience with SAP or another ERP tool.
