Medical Records Specialist

About the role
The Medical Records Specialist supports the clinical team by managing patient documentation, ensuring records are accurate, accessible, and compliant with privacy standards. This position plays a key part in the smooth operation of a busy community health center serving diverse populations.
Key responsibilities
- Process requests to release, retrieve, and maintain patient records.
- Electronically file incoming lab and diagnostic result reports.
- Assist clinicians in locating records for scheduled office visits.
- Perform general office duties such as data entry, filing, and answering inquiries.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a health‑care setting (preferred).
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology (preferred).
