About the role
The Sales & Marketing Intern will support Brites Management Services Limited in promoting its medical, laboratory and scientific equipment to healthcare providers across Kenya. Working from the Eastern Bypass (Ruai) office, the intern will gain hands‑on experience in lead generation, customer engagement and sales administration.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and generate new sales leads across hospitals, laboratories, clinics, research institutions and other target organisations.
- Follow up on leads, quotations and prospective customers to convert opportunities into sales.
- Support achievement of monthly sales targets through proactive prospecting and business development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, understanding their needs and recommending suitable products.
- Assist digital and field marketing activities, including social media posts, product promotions and networking events.
- Conduct market research to identify new customer segments, market opportunities and competitor activities.
- Help organise product demonstrations, exhibitions, client visits and other promotional events.
- Develop knowledge of the company’s equipment portfolio and assist with product presentations alongside the technical team.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, customer interactions, quotations and sales opportunities.
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, lead generation and conversions.
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management or a related field.
- Strong interest in sales, customer engagement and business development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good networking, negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Proactive, confident and comfortable approaching new customers.
- Target‑driven and motivated by achieving results.
