Salesperson – Commercial Driver

About the role

Mill Bakers Limited is seeking a proactive Salesperson who also holds a valid BCE driving licence and can operate heavy commercial vehicles. The role combines field sales activities with product delivery across Nairobi and surrounding areas, ensuring customers receive fresh bakery goods while driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new market opportunities and acquire new customers within the assigned territory.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, conducting regular visits to understand their needs.
• Promote and sell Mill Bakers’ product range to both new and existing customers.
• Drive assigned heavy commercial vehicles safely, ensuring timely and accurate product deliveries.
• Monitor customer orders, follow up on outstanding deliveries, and ensure prompt settlement of accounts.
• Collect and return company crates and other assets after each delivery.
• Prepare daily and periodic sales reports and provide feedback on market trends and competitor activity.
• Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets while complying with road safety regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in sales combined with commercial driving.
• Valid BCE driving licence and proven experience operating heavy commercial vehicles.
• Experience in FMCG, bakery, or food distribution is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer relationship management abilities.
• Good knowledge of the local market and routes in Nairobi/Westlands.
• High integrity, accountability and ability to work independently in a field‑based schedule.
