Technical Sales Representative – Kakamega

About the role

The Technical Sales Representative will drive sales of animal health products across Western Kenya, manage client accounts and provide technical advisory services to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee sales operations and coordinate activities within the Kakamega territory.
• Achieve periodic sales targets aligned with regional and company objectives.
• Manage distributor orders, invoices, credit, debt and inventory levels.
• Recruit, appoint and develop relationships with new and existing customers to grow market share.
• Increase brand visibility and product availability using Result Demonstration Plot (RDP) methodologies.
• Monitor competition and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare weekly route plans, sales performance reports, demand forecasts and market intelligence.
• Maintain an accurate customer database for analysis and reporting.
• Manage regional collection and promotional budgets and ensure compliance with asset care policies.
• Participate in regional meetings and perform other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Animal Health/Veterinary Medicine, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Agriculture or related field.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in the animal health industry.
• Proven track record in distributor management and route‑to‑market models.
• Valid driver’s licence with at least two years driving experience.
• Strong relationship‑management, negotiation and organisational skills.
• High integrity, self‑driven attitude and willingness to travel for extended periods.
