Trainer – Leading with Balance & Cross‑Cultural Working

About the role

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) seeks an experienced trainer to design, develop, facilitate, and evaluate a comprehensive virtual learning programme on leading with balance, work‑life balance, and cross‑cultural collaboration. The consultant will work remotely from Nairobi and deliver two cohorts of virtual sessions over a ten‑day period.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a pre‑learning needs assessment and produce an analytical report to shape the programme design.
• Design and develop learning resources such as presentations, guides, case studies, and practical exercises aligned with identified objectives.
• Facilitate engaging virtual learning sessions using adult‑learning methodologies.
• Administer post‑learning assessments, gather participant feedback, and compile a comprehensive outcomes report.
• Deliver two cohorts of virtual sessions to UNEP staff across all divisions, regional offices, and multilateral environmental agreements.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Learning and Development, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• Proven experience designing and delivering virtual training programmes for diverse, international audiences.
• Strong understanding of work‑life balance concepts and cross‑cultural dynamics.
• Ability to work independently under the guidance of the HR Section Chief and report to the Training Officer.
