Van Sales Assistant

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Van Sales Assistant in Kiambu (Kirigiti) in the transport, logistics and shipping services industry. The role covers visiting customers and outlets, taking orders, delivering products and supporting sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Visit assigned customers and outlets to promote products, generate sales and collect orders, and process them accurately according to agreed quantities and specifications.
• Identify new sales opportunities and help achieve daily and monthly sales targets.
• Assist with loading, transporting and delivering products along assigned routes, and keep accurate records of stock received, sold, returned and delivered.
• Build relationships with customers, retailers and business partners, handle routine complaints and pass on customer feedback to the sales team.
• Follow sales routes and schedules, monitor competitors, market trends, pricing and product availability, and support merchandising and promotions at outlets.
• Keep daily sales, deliveries, collections, stock movement and order records, submit daily and weekly reports to the supervisor, and comply with company procedures and vehicle/route requirements.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in van sales, route sales, FMCG distribution or a related field.
• Experience with customer orders, product deliveries, stock handling and field sales.
• Experience with retailers, distributors, shops or other business customers is an added advantage.
• A valid driving licence is an added advantage where driving is involved.
