Area Sales Manager – Bancassurance (Mt Kenya & Coast Region) – 2‑Year Renewable

About the role

The Area Sales Manager – Bancassurance will lead a high‑performing sales team across the Mt Kenya and Coast regions, driving insurance product sales through banks. You will be responsible for coaching, performance monitoring and ensuring the team meets and exceeds its sales targets within a two‑year renewable contract.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coach Bancassurance officers, providing tools, information and daily performance feedback.
• Set individual sales targets for motor, non‑motor and medical insurance and monitor achievement on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
• Manage team attendance, leave approvals and ensure compliance with HR policies.
• Track field activities, call reports and ensure planned meetings are executed.
• Identify training needs, arrange on‑the‑job coaching and formal training, and communicate requirements to the Business Development Manager.
• Conduct lead‑generator interviews, induct new officers and oversee disciplinary hearings when required.
• Distribute product promotion materials, cascade key messages and train staff on new application forms.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising sales or Bancassurance teams.
• Strong coaching and performance‑development skills.
• Ability to set and achieve sales targets for multiple insurance product lines.
• Familiarity with HR attendance and leave management processes.
• Excellent communication skills for training, feedback and disciplinary processes.
