About the role
The Kenya Medical Training College is seeking an Assistant Office Administrator to support daily office operations in its Westlands campus.
Key responsibilities
- Take oral dictation and perform word and data processing.
- Manage e‑office systems and maintain an up‑to‑date filing system.
- Ensure security of office records, documents and equipment.
- Operate office equipment and handle telephone calls and appointments.
- Supervise office cleanliness and enforce office protocol.
Required profile
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (mean grade C‑) with at least C in English or Kiswahili, or equivalent.
- Diploma in Secretarial Studies from KNEC, or Business Education Single and Group Certificates covering typewriting, shorthand, business English, office practice, secretarial duties, commerce, office management and computer applications.
Required skills
- Typewriting (minimum 50 words per minute) and computerized document processing.
- Shorthand (minimum 80 words per minute).
- Proficiency in computer applications and office management software.
