Clinical Nurse II – PCU Float Nights (Full-Time)

About the role

The Clinical Nurse II provides direct patient care on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) during night shifts while floating across multiple BayCare hospitals in the Tampa Bay region. This full‑time position works a 3‑day, 12‑hour schedule and supports a high‑quality, patient‑centered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Independently care for a group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient‑care activities to other members of the health‑care team.
• Maintain professional accountability, pursue development opportunities, and act as a preceptor or charge nurse when assigned.
• Float between designated hospitals in three regional groups, ensuring seamless coverage.

Required profile

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required.
• Current RN (Registered Nurse) license – required.
• Associate degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma – required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU RN experience in acute care.
• Nursing specialty certification – preferred.
