Customer Service Agent – Australian Tax Accounting

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Agent to manage and process client data, payment documents and tax transactions for Australian individuals and businesses. The role involves preparing quarterly and annual tax returns, BAS, IAS and related financial documents while supporting our Australian office.

Key responsibilities

• Record, manage and process client data and payment documents.
• Prepare individual and business income tax returns, BAS, IAS, financial statements, payroll, PAYG summaries and superannuation.
• Use MYOB Accountant Enterprises, MYOB Essentials and MYOB Account Rights, as well as Single Touch Payroll (STP) software.
• Communicate updates and reports to the Australian office in English via email.
• Handle ad‑hoc tasks assigned by senior staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an Australian tax accounting firm or outsourced tax service.
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax regulations, BAS, IAS, payroll and superannuation.
• Excellent English reading and writing skills.
• Professional qualifications such as APA, CPA or ACCA are a plus.
