Field Collection Officer

About the role

The Field Collection Officer is responsible for field‑based debt recovery and asset repossession for Mogo Finance in Nairobi. The role involves direct interaction with clients, coordination with law enforcement, and preparation of detailed reports.

Key responsibilities

• Visit clients with overdue accounts to persuade payment and ensure compliance.
• Reposess offline assets (bikes) from non‑compliant clients after unsuccessful phone follow‑ups and demand letters.
• Collaborate with police and government agencies to secure safe custody of repossessed assets.
• Prepare investigation reports on missing assets and provide risk recommendations to credit analysts.
• Compile incident reports and suggest preventive measures.
• Innovate tracking and monitoring methods for assets.
• Produce weekly and monthly recovery performance reports and strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum education: Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
• Valid A2 driving licence (mandatory).
• Customer‑oriented attitude with strong negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work under pressure and take initiative.
• Fluent in English and Swahili.
• Previous experience in debt recovery is an advantage.
