Graphic Designer cum Social Media Handler

About the role

Career Directions Limited (CDL) is hiring a Graphic Designer cum Social Media Handler for its Marketing department, based in Nairobi. The role creates visual and digital content, manages social media platforms and supports marketing communications to strengthen brand visibility and promote products in Decorative, Industrial and Automotive coatings.

Key responsibilities

• Create social media, digital and promotional content, including artworks for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and WhatsApp
• Develop product posts, banners, flyers, brochures, catalogues, presentations and other marketing materials
• Plan a monthly social media content calendar and manage daily posting and community engagement
• Create and edit short videos, reels and stories, and visit dealers, project sites and events to gather photos and videos
• Support product launches, trade events and exhibitions with digital storytelling, and coordinate with Sales, Product/Technical and other teams
• Maintain brand consistency, respond to social media messages and engage relevant influencers
• Coordinate with external agencies, photographers and printers, and support paid social campaigns
• Track social media performance and prepare weekly and monthly reports
• Support Sales with presentations and sales materials

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital marketing, mass communication or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience in graphic design, social media management or digital marketing
• Experience in FMCG, paints, coatings or building materials is an added advantage
• Willingness to travel for dealer visits, site activities and events

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva; CapCut or Premiere Pro is an advantage
• Good knowledge of social media platforms and management tools
• Social media analytics, hashtags and content writing
