Managing Director

About the role

We are seeking a highly commercial, analytical, and strategic Managing Director to lead our commercial and financial initiatives. Reporting to Prof. Myriam Sidibé, you will own a ring‑fenced P&L, shape pricing strategies, and drive high‑margin growth while championing our purpose‑driven culture.

Key responsibilities

• Build and nurture ecosystems by connecting partners, communities, and networks.
• Lead commercial and financial strategies, focusing on cost control, revenue optimisation, and pricing.
• Maintain full P&L accountability, identify new revenue streams, and manage contract renewals.
• Oversee commercial reporting and ensure operational resources support growth objectives.
• Scale operations beyond current borders, expanding our footprint across Africa.
• Champion company values and culture as the organisation grows.
• Attract, develop, and retain world‑class talent aligned with the mission.
• Unlock strategic partnerships with corporations, governments, and NGOs.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in commercial or operational roles.
• Proven track record of full P&L ownership and profitable growth.
