Regional Finance Officer – Kenya

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a Kenya‑based finance professional to join its Outstations Finance Team. The role will provide financial reporting, compliance and business partnering support across the Africa region, ensuring risks and penalties are managed effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Finance Manager in meeting all financial and tax compliance requirements on time.
• Identify and evaluate financial risks and opportunities within the region.
• Assist in the annual budgeting cycle and monitor performance against budget.
• Drive process improvements across AP, AR, revenue accounting and general ledger functions, leveraging technology.
• Provide financial guidance and advice to department heads and regional managers.
• Develop and track financial and operational KPIs.
• Participate in projects aimed at improving business processes and efficiencies, and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Senior accountant with at least 4 years of post‑graduation industry experience.
• Finance‑related bachelor’s degree minimum; CA or Management Accounting qualification (or working towards) is an advantage.
• Minimum 1 year of finance and tax experience within the Africa region.
• Ability to work independently and remotely without local supervision.
• Strong communication skills across all stakeholder levels.
• Not eligible for sponsorship; candidates must be able to work in Kenya.
