Senior Backend Engineer – Asset Sales

About the role

We are looking for a senior backend engineer to join our Asset Sales group and help scale a core component of M-KOPA’s FinTech platform. You will design, build and operate distributed, event‑driven microservices on Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C#/.NET microservices hosted on Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Design for idempotency, retries, out‑of‑order events and robust failure handling.
• Own the full lifecycle of services—from concept through deployment, production monitoring and iteration.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, using incidents to improve system resilience.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend development experience, strong grasp of C# and .NET.
• Hands‑on experience with event‑driven architectures (Azure Service Bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a distributed team across time zones.
• Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Claude) for design, code generation, testing and incident investigation.
