Tutorial Fellow - Community Health

About the role

Mama Ngina University College is recruiting a full-time, on-site Tutorial Fellow in Community Health in Gatundu, Kenya. The post is the entry grade for Master's degree holders into the academic cadre and works under the direct supervision of a senior officer. Teaching positions are on permanent and pensionable terms.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tutorials
• Prepare learning materials
• Guide students through coursework
• Mark assignments
• Support research activities
• Assist lecturers with curriculum delivery and academic administration

Required profile

• A Master's degree in Population Health, Public Health, Public Reproductive Health, Epidemiology & Disease Control, Monitoring & Evaluation, Community Health, Occupational Health & Safety or its equivalent from an accredited university
• Or a Bachelor's degree in Population Health from an accredited university
• Registered for a Ph.D. in the area of specialty
• University teaching experience is an added advantage; lack of evidence of it leads to disqualification

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer applications

Terms: Tutorial Fellows are engaged on a one-year contract, renewable twice based on progress toward a Ph.D., paid according to the IPUCCF and 2021-2025 CBA approved rates.
