Universal Banker – Diani Branch

About the role

Provide specialist advice and support for sales and distribution while ensuring compliance with risk policies. Deliver excellent customer experience, drive branch business growth and maintain high bank standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement branch strategic initiatives to increase new business and wallet share, and cross‑sell retail and business banking products.
• Manage portfolio risk in line with the bank’s appetite and ensure proper KYC/AML compliance.
• Collaborate with direct sales, asset finance, CIB and bancassurance teams to maximise cross‑selling opportunities.
• Conduct market intelligence, product reviews and develop branch sales strategies.
• Monitor performance against daily targets, initiate action plans for shortfalls and operationalise campaigns.
• Ensure timely onboarding of new accounts, adherence to turnaround times and high‑quality service delivery.
• Carry out internal controls, snap checks and cost management while safeguarding income from fees and commissions.
• Maintain excellent customer experience, resolve complaints promptly and uphold branch NPS standards.
• Support people development through training, succession planning and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
• Familiarity with a range of banking products and services such as checking, savings, loans and credit cards.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
