About the role
The Directorate of Veterinary Services, within Kenya's State Department for Livestock Development, is offering internship placements for recent veterinary surgeons and veterinary paraprofessionals. The programme will commence in January 2027 and follows the Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Paraprofessionals Act and related internship guidelines.
Required profile
- Graduated as a veterinary surgeon or paraprofessional in 2025 or earlier
- Temporary registration as a veterinary intern for 2026 by the Kenya Veterinary Board
- Certificate of Training (BVM, BSc, Diploma or Certificate) from a Kenya Veterinary Board‑recognised institution
- KCSE and KCPE certificates
- National Identity card, birth certificate, KRA PIN, and valid Certificate of Good Conduct
- SHA registration, NSSF registration, personal accident insurance cover, and a personal bank account
- Two recent passport‑size photographs
