Water Systems Chemist

About the role

The Water Systems Chemist provides technical support for water treatment, quality monitoring and chemical analysis to ensure compliance with Navy environmental and public health standards in a remote, mission‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Sample, test and analyze potable, wastewater and industrial water systems.
• Conduct routine chemical tests, record results and assist in adjusting treatment processes.
• Operate laboratory equipment, prepare reagents and maintain testing supplies.
• Support inspections, audits and troubleshoot water quality issues.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety and proper documentation of analytical data.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in water treatment, water quality testing, chemistry or environmental laboratory operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport (minimum 1 year) and ability to travel internationally.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and obtain necessary visas and facility credentials.
• Proficiency in English for reading, speaking and comprehension.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of water chemistry and sampling methods.
• Experience operating standard laboratory instruments.
• Proficiency with recordkeeping, data entry and report preparation.
