Bakery Ingredients Sales Executive (B2B Specialist)

About the role

The client is a leading distributor of bakery and pastry ingredients in Kenya, supplying pre‑mixes, chocolates, spreads and decorative toppings to hotels, restaurants and bakeries. They are looking for a proactive B2B Sales Executive who can leverage an existing network in Nairobi’s food‑service sector to generate immediate revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and acquire new wholesale accounts among hotels, high‑end cafés, restaurants, industrial bakeries, artisan patisseries and corporate caterers across Nairobi.
• Drive recurring weekly or monthly orders, introduce bulk subscription models and upsell during seasonal peaks such as Christmas, Easter and wedding seasons.
• Collaborate with the in‑house culinary team to organise product tastings and baking demonstrations, showcasing how the client’s ingredients improve consistency, shelf‑life and yield.
• Monitor competitor pricing, new product launches and client preferences, providing market intelligence to management.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience in bakery ingredients, food commodities or related FMCG perishables within Kenya.
• Established network with at least 20 active contacts in the Nairobi hospitality and bakery sector.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.

Required skills

• Strong B2B sales and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of bakery ingredient formulation and product application.
• Ability to conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations.

• Competitive monthly salary ranging from KES 75,000 to KES 90,000.
