Head of Sales

About the role

Our client, a leading Kenyan retail and lifestyle brand, is seeking an experienced and results‑driven Head of Sales to lead sales performance, profitability and market growth across all branches.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement country‑wide sales strategies to meet revenue targets and drive seasonal campaigns.
• Analyse market trends, customer behaviour and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Set, monitor and achieve branch sales targets, conducting regular visits, audits and performance reviews.
• Lead, coach and mentor Branch Managers and sales teams, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Ensure optimal inventory levels, accelerate movement of slow‑moving and aged stock, and collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards, strengthen brand positioning and drive loyalty initiatives.
• Monitor sales against budgets, control operational costs and analyse sales reports to take corrective action.
• Prepare and present performance reports to senior management and ensure effective communication between head office and branches.

Required profile

• Proven senior sales leadership experience, preferably in retail or lifestyle sectors.
• Strong track record of achieving revenue growth and improving branch performance.
• Excellent analytical, communication and people‑management skills.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans and manage large teams.

• Gross salary of KES 300,000 per month.
