Human Resource Officer

About the role

Ital Global Limited is hiring a Human Resource Officer in Nairobi (Westlands) within its healthcare sector. The officer provides comprehensive HR support across employee administration, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, staff development and the implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring HR practices comply with labour requirements and organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and HR records, and prepare employment contracts, offer letters, confirmation and termination letters.
• Handle employee enquiries and grievances, and take minutes and file documentation in disciplinary meetings.
• Support recruitment and selection, including job advertising, CV screening, background checks, interviewing and recruitment reports.
• Support performance management, including appraisals, feedback, PIPs and coaching and counselling.
• Collect and analyse HR reports and workforce data, and support payroll and personnel administration.
• Support employee training and development, including training needs assessments, and coordinate onboarding.
• Keep abreast of HR trends and labour requirements in the healthcare environment, and ensure compliance with workplace health, safety and environmental requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management.
• Membership with IHRM in good standing.
• At least 2 years of relevant HR experience in the healthcare sector.
• Experience in employee relations, recruitment, performance management and HR administration.

Required skills

• Proficiency in HRMIS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Good analytical and reporting skills, and ability to work independently and manage multiple HR activities.
